How To Lose 30 Lbs Quickly with a Low Carb Diet
by Alex Rich
Statistics from the World Health Organization indicate that most likely 85% of all dieters experience the yo-yo affect with their weight loss practices. Their frustrating start, stop and hop to diet after diet, leads to very dismal results.
For this reason we've found that yo-yo dieters tend to get the best results when they choose a Low Carb diet, rather than a fat free diet. So to help get the ball rolling to help motivate and encourage a successful dieting experience we'll share a few tips in a step by step approach.
Are you ready? Here we go:
We assume you follow good advice shared by nearly every health and fitness coach so once you've checked with your doctor to confirm that your only health issue is being overweight, you're ready to begin.
First things first! Decide what dress, pants or suit size you want to fit. Don't begin with your weight loss goal first. Your mind works with pictures, not numbers, and a picture of a great dress, suit or pair of slacks, is a much better motivator that some numbers for which your history is not that strong…at this point in time.
Once you have decided on a size that feels right for you, lock it in and start finding pictures of the styles, colors and options that appeal to you.
Look through sports magazines and find some action shots that fit the activities you'd like to enjoy once the weight is lost. Let yourself go and get into this with your full commitment searching magazines and fashion spreads in the Sunday paper and clip, clip, clip!
Forget about logic and reason. And definitely forget about sharing what you are doing with anyone…especially your best and closest friends! We've helped hundreds of clients lose more weight faster than they thought was possible. However, none of them experienced success until they kept their mouths shut about what they were doing to lose so much weight.
Crazy as it sounds; many dieters find that keeping their weight loss system a secret proves to be even harder than dropping 20 pounds in a month!
The final step, once you have your scrapbook filled, along with pictures on nearly every mirror in the house, is to decide on your personal Low Carb diet guide. We don't get paid to endorse any product we mention, however, the statistics show very good results for those who follow the Atkins Diet. Other Low Carb diets prove comparable results. You'll also find a ton of suggestions on my blog Going Fat Free.com
Our best advice is to spend some quality time in the library and scan a few pages and read the testimonials. If you can't narrow your choices, pick your favorite two Low Carb manuals and follow one for 2 to 3 weeks and see if you want to switch to the other one at that point.
Now comes the launching sequence that most dieters allow to slip right by. The steps are simple but very powerful. Let's get started.
1. Make a commitment to yourself using words like this: "No Matter What, I'm Starting This Low Carb Diet And I'm Not Stopping Until I've Reached My Goal, No Matter What It Takes!"
2. Stay Away From Alligators! Alligators are people who masquerade as friends and family and eagerly listen as you share your dieting plans, ideas and success. They may even encourage you...for a while. However, they will begin, sometimes immediately, to make comments or use subtle eye movements that don't match their words of support. Do not feel guilty when you avoid sharing your plans and goals with Alligators.
Your new slimmer and healthy body will take care of them eventually, however, in the beginning, Silence about your plans and goals is your Best Friend!
3. Find a book or two on the subject of Low Carb Dieting and treat it like your Bible. Doc Adkins books are marvelous and have thousands of successful long term success stories to back up the effectiveness of their documented successes. The blog at Healthy Weight-Loss.info is also a great source of low carb diet information and success stories.
4. Buy Smaller Clothes! I'm not suggesting you full up your closet with clothes that you cannot wear for the next 90 days or so, however, you should pick up at least one Speedo or thong bikini that you can model in the privacy of your own mirrors for motivation. Add a couple of other clothing purchases that are too small at this point and commit to look at them at least TWICE every day of the week.
5. Use your mind's strengths to help you succeed. Our minds convert nearly everything we encounter into pictures. That's why it's important to buy a few items of small sized clothes. You'll want to program your mind with the picture that matches the goals that you've set for your new size and activities you'll enjoy once you've reached or exceeded your goal.
You're about to experience the most amazing transformation of your life. You've probably watched the makeover shows on TV and marveled at the physical and positive psychological changes you observed in the guests who were fortunate enough to be picked for the experience of a new look. Now it's your turn and it's all in your hands.
Go For It and start by making yourself a commitment to Just Do It! Your journey begins with the first step...and don't worry about an occasional misstep. Just Keep Going For It's Fun When You're The #1Center of Attraction In Your Own World!
